Who We Are
K9 Express Instructors

Cindy Swiney

Cindy has been training and competing in agility since 1990 and is a Masters level judge for the Agility Association of Canada (AAC) and an Excellent level judge for the Canadian Kennel Club. Cindy had the honour of judging the 2004 AAC Nationals in Montreal and will be judging the 2011 Nationals in Barrie, Ontario.

Cindy also teaches agility seminars, is active in herding and herding dog rescue, is owner/operator of Cavorting K9s Retreat boarding kennel, and trains and competes with almost all of her 18 dogs.

Stew MacKenzie

Stew is a Masters level judge for the Agility Association of Canada.. He went away for a while, to Saskatoon, and returned to us as a Veterinarian.

Stew has been competing in dog sports for years, including Schutzhund, agility, obedience, and conformation. He has put an ATChC on his first agility dog Rem, a yellow lab, and is currently running his Belgian Malinois, Reo and Yikes, at the advanced/masters level. Stew has placed many different performance titles on a variety of dogs, ranging from rough Collies and Labs to Malinois.

Matt Bonner

Matt has been active in the sport of agility since the first time he saw a dog run a course, seeing agility as the "real life" obedience that many active dogs need, especially the off leash bonds that develop.

Matt has trained three dogs to the Masters level (taking all three to the Nationals). In 2009, Friday made 5th in a large category!

Matt has trained people to train dogs for a dozen years, is a Masters level judge for the Agility Association of Canada, and has judged throughout Canada. He's owner/operator of a Calgary home-based dog daycare.

Darcy Bennett

Darcy became addicted to agility in1998, enticed by the sport's challenges and sportsmanship. He has worked with a wide variety of personal dogs, from Masters level "farm dog" Ripken (sadly missed), "Starters for Life" rescue dog Griffey (no longer!), to his highly-wired pup - Elly the Border Collie, destined to be on the Nationals podium once Darcy harnesses her explosive energy. He is now working with young rescue Tater.

As a Masters level judge for the Agility Association of Canada, Darcy has judged all over Canada. He had the honour of judging the 2007 AAC Nationals in Ontario.
